Edgar’s glorious oddity and constant creativity is the sort of stuff that great art is made of. We hope you’ll enjoy getting acquainted with his unique humor and multifaceted style as much as I love seeing what he’ll come up with next.

You’re a bit of an enigma, Edgar… care to tell us something we don’t know about you?

The chemistry teacher in high school called me an enigma once, too. She also told me I look like Hilary Duff. But I’m not really sure either is true. I’m just terribly shy.

The Butthole Surfers are pretty classic in the annals of modern psychedelic punk… what other music inspires your designing?

The Butthole Surfers I like a lot and they don’t seem to take things too seriously. I find that appealing lately. The title of this design has more to do with that than the music, I guess. As far as other music goes, it depends how I’m feeling, I suppose. Lightning bolt, the fifteen minute song at the end of Nevermind, stuff like that a lot of times. Other music, too, everything is good really.

If you could sum up your style in five words, what would they be?

ah i dunno about that, man. You are a good judge of these things, can you tell me what to say?

(curator’s note: I think I’ll go with “awesome like you’ve never seen.” Or possibly “Bears and Fathers eating people.”)

Tell us a little bit about The Invisible Hairsuit. What is it, and what inspired you to start it?

Right now it’s mostly just comics and a few dumb drawings. I’ve also got a couple things for sale. I used to have a website when I was a lass, I’m trying to relive my childhood.

Robots or Dinosaurs: Which should we be more afraid of taking over the earth?

Probably robots.
