TAG TEAM GEOMETRY
Artist Interview: Inner-Monster
TILTEED CURATOR: dunz0
Curator’s Statement:
Inner-monster takes us to a whole new dimension with this latest Tilteed Limited piece! From the colors and the patterns to the two mysterious figures, this design sparks my curiosity in a way that no other design has before. When I look at this piece, I keep asking myself where it is that this pair comes from and what they are doing here. I simply want to learn everything about them!

TILTEED: Inner-Monster
Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself?
Well first off, I’m from Montreal and I love this city. There is so much cultural stuff going on that I don’t really have the time to get bored. I love drawing stuff that could capture our wildest imagination. Sometimes it’s fun to get out of our graphic comfort area and just go with the flow.

What was the inspiration behind “Tag Team Geometry”? What is your interpretation of this piece?
I guess it’s something about being stronger in a pair. I had this vision of a tag team duo from another vortex. These guys are like crime fighters from another dimension.
When did you know that you wanted to design t-shirts? Do you create art on other mediums?
I think t-shirt design is great way to promote art on a daily basis. It’s actually very fun to wear something that is unique and that is from someone you know. I think there are so many designers that would find a good time in shirt design. Fortunately lots of them don’t which means there is more place for us, shirt competition addicts.

I see that you go by the name Inner-monster. Can you describe how your inner monster looks and sounds?
Wooo! Picture me as a giant fluffy groovy monster with a perfect sharpened smile. I hide in big cities where I mutate during daylight to become camouflage with the city architecture. I sound a little silly but that’s just because your human ears aren’t used to hearing those kinds of frequencies.

If you had a round-trip ticket to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
We monsters don’t travel a lot. We have territories to protect and one week every year we gather up for our annual convention. We usually use portals to travel since your planes and boats are too small.

Nice colors, but I mainly love the design because of how the figures are put together. They’re unique, very abstract.

Definitely considering picking this one up.

Hey, not to take away from this tee at all, but has the most recent Wotto design printed yet?? Can’t wait for me free copy!!

I surely like this design, Inner-Monster. But I like your other ones as well. I don’t remember seeing these anywhere. I hope we don’t have to travel to Montreal to see more in the future. Nothing against Montreal, mind you. I lived in Ontario for a spell. Anyway…..congrats!

I just bought the Tag Team Geometry shirt.
I also agree with twilshire: I really like the other designs shown. Have they been printed before? If so where? If not, you should definitely submit them because I’d love to wear those designs as well.

Inner-Monster, thank you for letting us print such an awesome design and feature some of your other works! I’d love to see these crime fighters in action

very texturey - I like the depth of this, as well as the simplicity. Contrasting? maybe. Inviting? definitely!

To the budding Inner-Monster fans: I don’t believe I-M is currently in the catalog of any other site, but he may have been printed at another limited at some point in the days of old. I think he may have been somewhere recently? I’m losing my touch in my old age.
We’re always excited, however, to be able to bring in new and unique work from possibly underprinted designers. And we thank you guys for tuning in and wanting to know more.

An I-M design is actually available at http://www.teefury.com. Hurry up, though. The tee will be gone in about an hour and a half.
