Hi, I'm Kari Fry. Still getting my feet wet in t-shirt world, but I've been arting since it was socially acceptable to say “tubular.” Thanks for having me, Tilteed! <3

We know you as a caricaturist and cartoonist. Who inspires your style most + why?

I was mostly influenced by Disney stuff growing up (which has stuck), but in college I discovered Al Hirschfeld and Saul Bass. Hirschfeld was a master of expressing a lot of information in a simple line. Saul Bass is just an amazing graphic communicator. Oh, and Peter DeSeve makes the best critter caricatures/character designs!

The minotaur is a monster of mythic proportions. If you could combine two creatures to make a similar critter, which two would you pick? Why those creatures, and what would you call it?

Alligator and a Blue Jay; Jaytor! Why those two creatures? I'm simply playing favorites. Hold on a second, I'll make one to show you.... Here you go:

They're sure to become more popular than labradoodles and other designer mutts... Renowned for their cruel way with intruders.

Horrible Pun Time: What's the most a-maze-ing experience you've had in your life so far?

I got ridiculously lost in Tokyo. It was most definitely a-maze-ing.

If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be and what would you do?

I'd be my husband, because I'd like to see what it would be like to be so smart. I'd just sit and think for the whole day...maybe try to move some stuff with my brain.
