Resident Tee Nerd Statement
Mmmm, tasty humans, nothing like some great comic style art on a shirt rounded off with some great humor. Everyone knows that on the inside girls really are monsters;).
In case you haven't heard of Gimetzco, take the time to not only buy his shirt but look at the rest of his super fun work, and learn about the incredible Yeticorn and the Cryptid Crew.
Tell us where you got the idea for this fun piece of art.
Old horror comics, think Tales From the Crypt, Eerie, Creepy...though admittedly, this doesn't match the art style of those magazines. It's just the ironic twist story that hearkens to those old books...
Educate us all about the Cryptid Crew?
Note: the victim in this shirt "from the pages of..." is wearing a much saught after Cryptid Crew shirt... the skull & bolts. the Cryptid crew is a cartoon concept centered around 4 (or sometimes 5) different cryptids: Yeti-C the yeticorn (or his uncle, Uncle Corny), Gillman (the amphibious man), Chupa (the Chupacabra) and Pongo a-gogo (the shape shifting monkey lady). So far they've been in a small scuffle with angry bikers, fought a hooded skull and his evil robot and gun toting dinosaurs; they've gone to Hellanback, NJ where they fought the devil and his robot army and they've gone to Ursa Major and battled Steve the alien-octopus-with-a-human-brain. Since then they've calmed down a bit...layed low. perhaps they'll have another adventure, but who can say when?
What would your ideal world look like?
Switzerland and New Mexico. I've been to both places and they are both beautiful. Switzerland is so green fresh! and during the winter it's all crazy snowy...awesome...New Mexico is awesome desert, like a great cowboy movie...and I could probably pretend to be mad max there too.
What kind of super skills do you have that no one else knows about? ?
ah good question...I can do many voices and accents...mostly accurately...I have an ear for dialects, so if I hear it, chances are, I can come pretty close...this also means I can do a few impressions, Christopher Walken notwithstanding.
If you could have superpowers what would they be?
My super power would be this: if I say I can do it (whatever it may be) i can do it. Easy as that...or difficult. I mean, there are some things, that even though you may know how to do, they are still difficult.
