Artist Interview: Inner-Monster

Curator’s Statement:

Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to be up in the clouds? Well now you can live vicariously through this robot who’s happily hanging out in the sky. The view must be absolutely breathtaking from up there!

Welcome back to Tilteed, Inner-Monster! Can you start us off by telling us a little bit about Dream Bot?

I have always been a fan of robots. I grew up with them and I created them an emotional profile that made them more friendly to me. I pictured that robots have aspirations and dreams that are pretty similar to humans. I always wanted to fly in my dreams and did it a couple of times. Now I try each night to convince my subconscience to make that dream come back. I guess this Dream Bot is a little part of me waiting.

What have you been up to in the art world since your last feature?

I’m working on some new designs right now. I hope they will be appreciated by the t-shirt crowd. I’m always checking in everyday to see what you guys come up with. That’s mainly what I do.

I have noticed many different characters in your designs. How do you come up with your unique robots and monsters?

I really don’t know where it comes from, all I know is that I’ve been doing it since I was a kid. It just keeps my hands occupied.

What’s a day in the life of Inner-Monster like?

Eating people, eating cars and boats and airplanes, eating entire family just to make sure no one is crying. Eating tables, kitchens, houses, streets, cities, countries… I eat spiders just like you. 

What are some of your favorite robot or monster movies of all time?

Love them all but I must say that Wall-e made a good impression on me.

Do you own many t-shirts? If so, do you have a favorite t-shirt or a favorite color to wear?

I wear shirts from the internet but also wear shirts with wolves on them from the flea market.  I must say I have pretty good taste.
