DAY N’ KNIGHT
Artist Interview: biotwist
Resident Tee Nerd Statement
You've seen him here before with his amazing Sharktopus mashup. Today, Biotwist returns with yet another spectacular piece, one that I have been in love with ever since I saw the WIPs. I enjoy seeing artists create pieces based on their reinterpretations of words and phrases, and this design is a product of that wordplay. Please excuse me while I go dance to Kid Cudi's first single now.
Welcome back to Tilteed, Jonah! What have you been up to since we last featured your ferocious Sharktopus?
Lots and lots of drawing.
Can you tell us about Day n' Knight and what inspired you to create this piece?
I had the chorus to the Kid Cudi song stuck in my head and it led to visualizing this.
As a artist, you're constantly coming up with new illustration ideas. How do you keep your creativity going strong? Is there a time of day when you work best?
Morning in the best time to get work done, but late at night is the best time to brainstorm. You just have to keep your brain stimulated. One good idea normally leads to four more.
When you're not designing t-shirts, what are your favorite leisure activities?
Going to music & camping festivals. If I'm not drawing, I'm probably out with my friends doing secret stuff. Im also hooked shonen style anime.
If we had to swap mixtapes instead of shaking hands when meeting new people, what music would be on your mix?
A year ago it would have been a good mix of everything you could label indie, but lately it's a lot of electronic stuff like Bassnectar, The Disco Biscuits, Rusko, Borgore, Pretty Lights, Mim0sa, Girl Talk, Daft Punk, etc. I listen to way too much music and could play this game forever.
Where should we go to stay up to date on all your new projects?
I have a Facebook fan page where everything gets posted, or a Tumblr if you prefer that. You can also buy some of my stuff on society6.
Would you like to share anything else?
Biotwist is also my Xbox gamertag if you want to get your butt kicked in Soulcalibur 4 by me.

Fact: The medieval knight was the equivalent of the modern tank. He was covered in multiple layers of armor, and could plow through foot soldiers standing in his way.
