Curator’s Statement:
Darkwaterfishing is disturbingly beautiful in its stippled styling. The calm of the mermaid paired with the creepiness of the fisherman emerging from her back creates a dynamic that makes this a must buy. Sirens of the world, sport this tee and show people your dark side. Come on… we have cookies…. AND Voodoo Donuts.

What was the inspiration behind this piece?
An 80’s horror movie call “lady terminator”
Walk us through a day as Slitwrist.
It start with coffee in the morning and ends with another cup of coffee in the middle of the night.
What really inspires you to create and design?
Boredom and routines! That’s what inspired me to make something.
Do you work with any other media (photography, web design, paint, sculpture…) and what is your favorite?
I think so, today business pushed us to explore many medium, but I still prefer a pencil and a paper.
Tell us something unique about Slitwrist that we wouldn’t find on a typical write up?
I breathe with my ears, and listen with my nose.

Honestly, Jestik, I think it’s trying to lure others in under the guise of a desirable mermaid.

I found this interesting… when I walked away from the laptop and looked back, when the picture of the design was up on the screen, I saw a peacock feather. I don’t know if you guys see it but I felt it only added to the design.

Still trying to figure this one out. Even tried the shrooms angle. So it’s the mermaid’s right hand that’s holding the fishing line? Weird angle for that arm.
And for the life of me, JadenKale, I’m not seeing a peacock feather.

yeah he right hand is holding the line. if you see a guy from the back, her hand is more out than back.
As for the peacock feather, it was just when I walked away from the screen and didn’t focus on the actual design (like if I looked at it quickly or in passing)
