It's good to have you back with us again! What's new in the life of Yema Yema?

Yay! Super stoked to be back! Nothing really new. I plan on making a huge update to my website to have everything more unified and professional looking. Also planning for 1 tee release late spring or early summer.

Can you tell us a bit about this illustration and what inspired you to create it?

Well, my later design were pretty mechanical with a lot of geometric shapes, so i wanted to make something more "aggressive" and less cute. Also childhood memories like the chupacabras! Haha, it was a lot of fun to make him.

Out of all your illustrations so far, do you have a favorite? What makes it so special?

It will have to be "I Want a Tattoo!" because freaking love the idea behind the tee. Mainly because I really want one! I also like the bright colors and dynamic it has around it.

What are some things that you hope to accomplish this year?

I really want Yemita (YemaYema) to grow. I want to collab with great artists and just have fun meeting new people. I will also love to get into craft shows.

Do you collect anything? If you don't, is there anything that you wish you had a collection of?

As a teen I used to collect action figures. Funny thing is I found that bag with all the toys and now they are displayed in my office. I also collect toy decks and want to have a wall full of skate decks with awesome art on it.
