Welcome back to Tilteed, Chris! Tell us a little bit more about ‘The White Stripes’ and the process behind this piece.

Good to be back!

Well, it was originally done for a “Band Names Reinterpreted” contest and I wanted to go with something that stood alone and didn’t necessarily rely on knowing of the band to get it. I think it does that and still gives a nod back to the band with the colors.

Your last piece, ‘Pinkerton,’ which we printed as part of the Tilteed Limited Series, was one of our most popular Limited pieces of the summer. How are you handling your new fame?

I didn’t realize it was so popular! I would in no way say I’m famous in the t-shirt world. I’d say I’m somewhat well known to the shirt.woot crowd, but outside that arena I don’t carry much clout. I’m working hard to change that though and venture out of my comfort zone. Expand my horizons and all that crap.

If you were the mural painter here, what would you want to be able to paint?

Meg or Jack?

Definitely Jack. I actually prefer The Raconteurs to The White Stripes, but I like both.

Stripes or Plaids?

You rarely see me not rockin’ stripes on top and plaids on bottom.

Bed, Bath, or Beyond?

Bed. I try to spend as much time in bed as possible (watching tv, get your mind out of the gutter).
