Tell us a little bit more about the inspiration for this t-shirt design.

It was about creating a mixed media illustration, which is a combination of normal inking + watercolor + color pencil. I think the variety of styles suits the concept where one thing might contradict another yet they are closely related.

You’re a veteran of the t-shirt contest circuit. How many shirts have you had printed and do you have a favorite out of all them?

I’m not sure about the exact number, around 20+ designs in different contests, and some designs sold to clothing companies. My recent favorite design would be Coexistance.

You’ve said that you spend a lot of time surfing the internet looking for inspiration. What sites do you visit on a daily basis?

Other than creating amazing t-shirt artwork, do you have any other passions or hobbies?

I always have a passion for more possibilities in art and design, like comic and editorial illustration, or even installation art. I hope to do these in the future. At this moment, t-shirt is still where most of my drawings end up at, but I am about to do some personal illustrations.

We know your background is in mechanical engineering - do you think that background influences or helps you in your creative process?

Well, tough question… Maybe sometimes I think as an engineer and draw as an artist, or vice versa. It’s been quite some time when my brain was filled with all those maths and physics formulas, but the fundamentals are always there and sometimes I try to reverse-engineer my mind in designing t-shirts.
