Welcome to Tilteed, Alex! Can you start us off by telling us a bit about yourself?

I’m an artists/bboy based outta Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I’ve been drawing all my life, hope to one day make my hobby a full time job.

From where did you get the idea for Pirate Dragon?

It was mainly me doodling at work. Started working on a dragon all pencil sketched and wanted to add something to make it a bit silly, give it a different concept than just a big dragon on a shirt.

How and when did you get your start in designing t-shirts? Do you work on other canvasses too?

I mostly did paintings before I started doing shirts, but I found that shirts are a great medium to get your art seen by the world, since it’s easier to purchase a shirt than a huge canvas.

We’ve seen from various online clips that you are quite the breakdancer. When did you start breakdancing and does it have any influence over your artwork?

I’ve been dancing for about 13 years now as well, and still travel and do a lot of shows with my crew. You can Youtube Motion Disorderz Crew and find some stuff online. Hopefully you don’t find any embarrassing ones My dancing and art are both a way for me to express myself and relieve stress, so they always go hand in hand and a few times I have used my dancing as concepts for my artwork

If you were given the opportunity to take a trip to the moon and could bring any five items with you, what would they be and why?

5. My laptop - I can go online and be distracted haha
4. Art supplies - I can’t go a day without drawing
3. A few drinks - To celebrate me being up in the moon
2. Boombox - Need to practice stay and shape, so I need some music to listen too. Might be too quiet up there
1. Camera - I need to take some pictures or no one will believe I went to the moon

This is great. How shiny is “Silver?” Is it essentially gray without heathering or is it reflective?

I think silver is a fantastic palette for work, I have a couple other AA silver shirts and I love them. I truly believe they are softer than some of the other colors.

Holy dragon breath! That’s some terrific artwork. With so much detail, that must have taken a very long time to create. Speaking of details, I love the hook hand, the perched parrot and the peg leg.
