(M)ANTEATER

Welcome back, Sven! What have you been up to since we last saw you on Tilteed?

That must have been February, well, there was a busy spring and a long quiet summer and now it smells a bit like autumn, that reminds me I should go to the beach once again before it gets too cold… but yeah, I also worked during that time:)

Can you tell us the story behind (M)anteater?

It basically refers on one of those internet hypes: “F..k you, I´m an anteater!”, which features these animals while they stand on two feet in sort of a threatening attitude… Most of you might know it. I was just thinking, what would happen if Mister Anteater was huge as Godzilla or King Kong: He could perfectly suck the yummi little humans out of their office buildings, couldn´t he?

Looking back at your artwork, what project was the most fun to work on?

There were many and the (M)anteater was def. one of them. I also had fun designing this laser engraved bamboo iPhone case, btw they are made in Portland as well (like Tilteed). *We love Grove!

What do you hope to accomplish within the two years? The next five years?

My main goal is to keep working the way I do right now: A mixture of illustration jobs and design work, while being able to make a living out of it. If I manage to maintain that, I´ll be where I wanna be.

Do you do a lot of traveling? Where is your favorite vacation spot?

I did a lot of travelling, yes. Having a kid changes that a little though. I love the Pacific coast of Mexican state Oaxaca for example. If you happen to travel throughout Europe, don´t miss Lisbon, Berlin, Barcelona, Dublin, Vienna.
