Tilteed is a t-shirt design community where both new and established artists from around the world can submit their t-shirt designs into the Tilteed ongoing t-shirt design contest. Winners receive $500 plus $1 per shirt sold. Submitted designs are voted on by the Tilteed community to which anybody can become a member.

Becoming a member is easy. It only requires an email address and some basic information. The main reason to become a member is that members can vote on designs and help us pick the t-shirts to be printed. And not only do you get to pick the winners - but we like to send our members discount codes and even the occasional free t-shirt. We're a member driven community printing some rad t-shirts.

Easy. Go to our handy dandy sign up page and register. And when you have an extra minute or two - be sure and upload an avatar, fill out your profile info, and if you pick up any t-shirts - post some pics!

We take security very seriously. Our very large dog guards our front door. And on our website we use the latest industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to protect your personal information. We also have an outside firm routinely check the system to make sure there aren't any holes in our website.

At the moment we accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

The days we pick winners here at our little office can be exciting. First we look at all of the submissions. Next we look at all of the community votes and comments. Then we clear out all of the furniture so that we can wrestle. And you guessed it, winning wrestler picks winning shirt.

(Actually, that's not completely accurate. There are some additional rules that come into play. If one wrestler is deemed to have an unfair advantage (ex. weight, height, or self-proclaimed 'pure awesomeness') they have to wrestle blindfolded. If the wrestler is claiming the 'pure awesomeness' advantage, their opponent also gets to pick a tag team partner. Oh, and we film it.)

We try to contact winners as soon possible. We'll be printing a new shirt every 72 hours, so with our ongoing contest we try to notify winners at least a week before there t-shirt is up for printing as there are a few legal things to take care of as well as payment.

Either you've broken one of our rules or not read the Terms and Conditions or we haven't reviewed it yet. Before your submission is open for voting, it is reviewed internally to make sure it follows the rules and plays nicely with the other kids. That review usually happens within a few hours, but might take up to 48 hours.

Good question. For our standard contest we pay $500 to the winner up front. We also pay $1 per t-shirt sold. Performance payments are paid in chunks of $500. So if you win - you'll get paid $500 right away. When 500 shirts are sold, you'll receive another $500. When your t-shirt hits the 1000 shirts sold mark - another $500. Get it? Small, unmarked, non-sequential bills. Or Paypal. Or a paper check if necessary. Peanuts if you prefer. We're flexible.

Per day: no limit. Per design: once. Please don't try to game the system. Please don't register 100 different accounts to vote for your design 100 times. Not only does it take a bunch of effort on your part, but it really annoys us. And then we have to go through and delete all of those accounts which takes up a bunch of our time in which we could be sending out orders or giving away t-shirts. Let's just say this: it's not going to work. And if you feel like your design needs a bunch of fake votes to push it to the top - you might be better off taking that time to register for some illustration classes at the local community college or just simply practicing some more.

Designs are eligible for community critique and rating for 2 months. After 2 months comments and ratings are turned off. Submitted, non-winning designs will remain in the artists profile. If we haven't contacted you within 2 months then you're welcome to submit the design elsewhere.

The Tilteed Limited series features a new t-shirt every 72 hours. These are limited edition, high quality screen-printed t-shirts and are only available during the 72 hour period. After that, you'll only be able to find them in the Tilteed Limited Archive.

We print our shirts on the really comfy, American made, American Apparel styles 2001 for men and 2102 for women.

American Apparel shirts tend to run small. For example - I'm generally a large, but in American Apparel I order the XL. If you need a more accurate sizing description - check out these charts:

WOMEN

For the longest life, our shirts should be turned inside out and washed in a cold/cold cycle. Tumble dry on low heat.

We do, Silly. Yes, that's right - we print all of our shirts in-house on our fantastic press. This allows us to make sure the quality is top-notch and routinely stay up way past our normal bed-times because we're busy printing your awesome designs.

We use live shipping rates. For domestic (US) orders, you can have your shirt shipped via USPS First Class Mail or Priority Mail. For international orders, we ship USPS First Class International Mail.

We print our shirts within 1 week of them being featured on the site. Remember, we print only the number of shirts that were ordered, and we do have to wait for the t-shirt blanks to arrive from American Apparel which usually takes 3 - 4 days. They ship out shortly thereafter. Domestic we like to estimate about 2 weeks. International, well, just a bit longer.

If it's been more than three weeks for domestic orders or 1 month for international orders send us an email with your info at orders@tilteed.com and we'll figure out what is going on with it.

Unfortunately Tilteed has no control over the custom's laws or fees in your country. Tilteed is unable to estimate or determine if and when there might be fees for your international order. If you have more questions about this we recommend checking out your country's customs agency's website.

We're confident that you'll be happy with our shirts. But if for some reason you are not, and it's within 30 days of purchase (60 days for international orders), send us an email to orders@tilteed.com. Include your name and order number and we'll give you complete return shipping instructions. Shirts must be unworn and unwashed - no exceptions! The customer is responsible for the return shipping charges unless you are returning it due to a defect in the product or you received the wrong shirt.
